The Town of East Hartford, in partnership with the Connecticut River Valley Chamber of Commerce, is proud to present the first annual Festival of Flight on Saturday, September 19, at Rentschler Field. The free community festival will bring together families, friends and visitors for an afternoon filled with kites, live music, performances, food, activities and fun for all ages.

From the moment guests arrive, the sky will be part of the celebration. The John Rose Kite-Flying Family & Friends will fill the field throughout the day with spectacular large character and display kites, creating a colorful backdrop for an afternoon of family-friendly activities and entertainment.

“The Festival of Flight is about creating something new for our community that brings people together, celebrates East Hartford, and gives residents and visitors another reason to elevate here,” said Mayor Connor Martin. “We are excited to launch what we hope will become a new annual tradition for East Hartford.”
